After the independence India is developed in many fields. They are the leader in many technologies. To add another feather to this, ISRO Indian space research Organization has launched “Bhuvan”. It’s a geoportal which showcasing Indian Imaging Capability in Multi-sensor, Multi-platform and Multi-temporal domain. Using this Bhuvan you can access, explore and visualize 2D and 3D image data along with rich thematic information on land and water resourse with specific emphasis on Indian region. There are already two operators who give the visualization of earth, Google earth and wikimapia. What seems Bhuvan to differ from them is, Google Earth shows detail upto 200 m distance and wikimapia upto 50 m, whereas bhuvan will show images upto 10 m. This means you can easily see details upto 3 store building. Moreover it gives weather information and even administration boundaries of all states and districts in India . And the images are upgraded every year whereas Google Earth upgrades 4 year once. Now the clear images can be seen for India region soon it covers the entire earth. This project demonstrates Our Country’s expertise in both information and space technology.

Usain Bolt the world fastest man. He holds the record for the 100 meters at 9.58 seconds. His previous best in the 100 meters was 9.69seconds which was set by him during Beijing Olympics. Usain bolt is a Jamaican sprinter who breaks many world records and created many. Some of the record done by him, he holds 100 meters world record in Olympics. He also won all three main event in the sprint in a single Olympic, not by won all the three he also set world records in all the three events. He is the youngest Gold medalist in 200 m; he sets this record in 2002 world junior championship. This new record of him 9.58 sec in 100 meters was set during this Berlin world championship. One thing is clear he is the man who strikes the sprinting stage like a “lightning Bolt”.

Brihadishwara Temple one of the famous
temple in India. It is located at Thanjavur in
Tamilnadu. This temple
was built during the period of Cholas. It shows the brilliants of Cholas in temple architecture and also set good example of architectural conception of pure form of the Dravida type of temple architecture. It is a one of the greatest achievement of Indian architecture. All the credits must goes to Raja Raja Cholan, the great chola king who ruled between 985-1014. During his period only the temple built.
Some of the interesting facts of the temple are, it’s the first complete granite temple in the world. The Temple tower also known as Vimana is 70 meters height. So it’s the tallest of its kind in the world. The kalasha also called as shikara of this temple is made of monolithic granite. This single Monolithic granite weighing 81 tons. At the entrance of the temple a big statue of scared bull known as Nandi measured about 16 feet long and 13 feet high. And it is carved out of single rock. This temple not only famous for its architecture but also for sculpture, paintings and bronze casting. This shows how Much the King Raja Raja chola Interest in Art. This temple is part of the UNESCO world heritage site “ Great living Chola Temple”.

The large hadron collider is the world’s largest and highest –energy particle accelerator. This is shortly called as LHC. LHC was built by European Organization for Nuclear Research also known as CERN. The main purpose of creating this collider is to testing various predictions of high energy physics. This LHC is located in Geneva, Switzerland. LHC is not situated in open land it’s in a tunnel of 27 KM in circumference and 175 meters beneath the France Swiss border. This Giant machine started its process on 10 of September 2008 by passing the proton beam in a main ring. But the operation lasted only for 9 days. On 19^th September of the same year the operation was halted due to the problems in superconducting magnets. Its funded and built in collaboration with over 10,000 engineers and scientists from 100 countries and above. Also many Universities and laboratories took part in this experiment. The cost for the project is expected to be 3million Euros for accelerator. The CERN contribution towards the experiment was 700 million Euros. But the cost keeps on increasing due to technical faults. If the machine goes well as predicted we get the answers for many unknown questions that scientists are searching for years.

A Tsunami , Pronounced tsoo-NAH-mee is a series of waves, occurs in oceans by an earthquake, Volcanic eruption, landslide or meteorite impact. It’s a Japanese word, Tsu means harbor and Nami means waves. This tsunami wave can travel very quickly, at about 700 km/hr, they are very huge. It cause huge destruction when they hit coastlines. When it travel near to the coast, it slows and grows in height due to the top of the wave moves faster than the bottom. It is not visible to the naked eye when it near the coast line, it grew to be many meter high and have tremendous amount of energy. The signs of Tsunami are if an earthquake takes place near a water body, means tsunami will follow in a short while. There us a loud roar similar to a train or aircraft. Some large animals like elephants hear the noise of the tsunami and move in the opposite direction towards inland.

By winning the Wimbledon title Roger Federer become the first man to win most no. of grand slam tittle in the history of tennis. The number of grand slam won by him was 15. The finals of this year Wimbledon between Federer and Andy Rodick is just like a thriller climax. This avid final last for 4 hours and 16 minutes to Federer to claim his world record title. It almost took 1 hour and 30 min for Federer to beat andy in his final set of the match. Andy’s dream came to end this time also to claim his maiden Wimbledon trophy. He already lost this title twice to Federer in the previous Wimbledon . By claiming this tittle Federer broke the previous record of great peat Sampras, which almost last for 9 years. He had done the record of being No.1 for 237 consecutive weeks. He is the one who won all the 6 grand slam titles. Surely his success must be an inspiration to the upcoming generation.
