Forbes has recently released world’s most powerful women’s list. In that Germany chancellor Angela Merkel tops the list follow by Sheila C. Bair, Chairman of Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Third place goes to Chairman and chief executive of PepsiCo, Indra K. Nooyi. The rank is given on the basis of job title and past career accomplishment, Visibility by press as well as the amount of money the women controls. So the Germany’s chancellor continues to rank no 1 for fourth consecutive years. U.S Hilary Clinton ranked as 36th. Three women are represented from India. First one, Sonia Gandhi, president of Indian National Congress who rank is 13.Chandra Kochhar, Chief executive of ICICI bank is at 20. And Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman and managing director of Biocon is at 92. U.S tops the list with 63 women from the country makes their entry in the list. First Lady of U.S Michelle Obama also made into the list at 40.
