A high drama is placed in U.S Open semi final match between Defending Champion Serena Williams and Former World No.1 and U.S Open 2005 Champion Kim Clijsters. Serena Williams was outburst over a foot fault. While Serving to stay in the match at a set down and trailing 6-5 in the second set, Serena Williams was called for foot fault by a line judge. This call came while she was on her second serve at 15-30. As per the rules a player’s feet cannot touch the baseline during a serve. But during her serve she made the fault. So for this she shouted and pointing her racket to the line judge. As per the Association Press report she told to line judge” If I could, I would take this ball and shove it down your throat”.
Previously in the match she already got the warning after breaking her racket on the court at the end of the first set. So the Umpire gave a point penalty to her. This helps Clijsters to win the Semi final by 6-4, 7-5. For this Serena was fined 10 grants. And may be some disciplinary action against her.
